As you can see from the photos, my book signing was a lot of fun.  Book signings are always a risk, you just never know who will attend, but Tuesday night, October 23rd, was filled with many surprises including two old friends who drove a long distance to attend.  A heartfelt thank you to everyone who drove both near and far to celebrate the official launch of Eternal Hunger. It means so much to me.

As we approach the holiday season I must confess that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. For me, it’s all about sharing and giving and the gratitude we feel for our family and friends. It is the satisfaction gained from being a part of something larger than ourselves. There is such joy in sitting around the table with our loved ones and enjoying a really good meal. In the day-to-day we sometimes forget all that we have to be grateful for.

Soon the holidays will be upon us – Hanukkah is early this year and Christmas is not too far behind.  I don’t know about you but I have already started my lists for family and friends, plus a special list for my two beautiful granddaughters. I also hear my mother telling me to “get more rest, take time for myself and breathe.”  Wise words. I thought I would share a shopping tip along with a stress reducer for everyone as they seem to go hand and hand!

Books are “a uniquely portable magic” to quote Stephen King.  I can’t think of a better stress reducer than curling up with a good book; well, maybe a glass of wine or a good strong cup of coffee to go along with that good book. Give the gift of books and give someone that uniquely portable magic for the entire year.

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Hanukkah and a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
